From the Trout to the Trout Inn (a pattern emerging?)

It was another cloudy and dull start this morning as we set off about 10:00 am.  Our plan was to cruise to Farmoor  reservoir as we had spied some moorings on the way upstream.  It took a while today for the sun to break through but it did eventually, just as we were nearing the reservoir.   Dave & John decided to carry on as we had made good progress today, coming downstream is a bit quicker and although still some sharp bends, not quite as twisty as further upstream.

We have moored for the day at Godstow Abbey for the day.  The abbey is said to be haunted.  We have had a walk over the bridge to the Trout Inn this evening, the pub featured in Colin Dexter's Inspector Morse (the Wolvercote Tongue) and he is said to have frequented the Trout.
